THE VINEYARD OF THE COTE ROANNAISE

A Controlled Designation of Origin since 1994, the Côte Roannaise stretches over around twenty kilometers, 14 communes and peaks at an altitude of 550 meters.

215 hectares of vines overlook the Loire and lean against the foothills of the Monts de la Madeleine. Facing east, the vineyard knows how to soak up the sun and flourishes on granite soils, which provide an excellent support for viticulture.

Domaine de la Chapelle - Gérard PIAT in St-Jean-St-Maurice-sur-Loire (5 minutes by car)

The operation is the continuation of an estate run by the PIAT family for several generations.

Gérard, passionate and in love with his land, perpetuates the tradition by cultivating the hillsides best exposed to the rising sun, with an approach that respects the environment.

The vineyard's favorite in the 2024 Hachette wine guide is its Vieilles vignes vintage.

Domaine SEROL in Renaison (20 minutes by car)

The Sérol estate has been passed down for five generations. Stéphane Sérol took over the estate in 1996. Very attached to the Côte Roannaise, he cleared and replanted to restore the most beautiful hillsides to vines.

With his wife Carine, they gradually converted the estate to organic farming and then to biodynamics.
